YOUTH ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (YAP)

The Youth Assistance Program (YAP) provides services to youth who have come to the attention of the juvenile justice system in Wayne County and at risk of continued involvement in the system. The program provides:

• Mentoring and educational assistance

• Problem-solving and anger management counseling

• Peer group counseling in building positive relationships and decision-making skills

• Behavioral, mental health and substance abuse counseling
