The Family Reunification program provides services to families with a child or children residing in out-of-home placement and who are ready to return home within 30 days. The team provides an array of services to assist in the transition of the child(ren) back into the home. The goal of the program is to seek permanency for the families by decreasing a subsequent return into the foster care system. The services are usually for four months and the team functions as an advocate for the family. Services to the families involved in the Family Reunification Program include:
Service Population: Families with children in foster care in Genesee County referred by the Family Independence Agency.
