Mental Health Services (since 1997)

Ennis Center's Mental Health Unit helps those who request treatment to improve the quality of their relationships, work life, family, school and emotional well being. The Mental Health Unit provides in-home and office treatment through behavioral contracts and is also responsible for all therapy provided to the delinquency population in the Community-Based Delinquency (CBD) program. All treatment is based on helping individuals and families cope with interpersonal problems and improve maladaptive behavior patterns. The treatment is person- and family-centered, with each client involved in developing individualized goals based on an assessment completed with the Therapist. The frequency of the sessions are usually once a week, and crisis intervention is provided on a 24/7 basis. A full-time agency Psychiatrist and a Psychologist are available for consultation and testing, with monthly consultation with a Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist. The number of client serviced daily averages 170, and the unit receives referrals through three contracts. Services to the children and families involved in Mental Health Services include:

Specialization: Sexually reactive youth, domestic violence, addiction, abused/neglected children, abusive/neglectful adults.
Service Population: Referrals from the County and clients who are being serviced through the Community-Based Delinquency program.
