Placement Prevention Services (since October 2000)

Placement Prevention Services (utilizing the Family Group Decision Making or FGDM model) is an intensive in-home program with the goal of resolving family issues and safeguarding the children in the homes. Families are required to take charge of their own lives by working out a plan that maintains and stabilizes the family. The duration of services to families is 90 days. Families are referred through Genesee County Family Court. Services to families involved in the Placement Prevention Services/FGDM program include:

Service Population: Families with delinquent population that are at a high risk of being placed in out-of-home placement.
